Aline A. Vaillancourt, 76, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, May 22, 2017 in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Gardner following a long illness.
Aline was born in Gardner on December 26, 1940, the daughter of Virginia (Cormier) Vaillancourt and the late Jules J. Vaillancourt.
She graduated in 1958 from Gardner High School. Aline was the receptionist for Dr. Blanco of Fitchburg for many years, prior to retiring in 2002.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was also a member of the Sierra Club.
Aline was an outdoor enthusiast who loved nature, gardening and yardwork. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, watching old movies and listening to music. Aline also enjoyed cooking and baking. One of her greatest joys was the family 4th of July party which she looked forward to each year.
Besides her mother, Aline leaves two brothers, Jules P. Vaillancourt of Ashburnham and Peter C. Vaillancourt of Gardner; one sister, Maria Johnson of Maynard; aunts and uncles, Muriel Basilio of Fitchburg, Florence Trifilo of Largo, FL, Fern Darling of CA, Yvonne Preliasco of Gardner, Roddy Preliasco of Gardner and Jeff Cormier of Washington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Raymond R. Vaillancourt who died in 2012.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 26th at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be held at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Friday, May 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
