Aline M. (Cormier) Cormier, 97, of Gardner died peacefully Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Alliance Health in Baldwinville, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in St. Paul, New Brunswick, Canada, on September 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Sarah (Allain) Cormier. She was employed at Gardner Manor Nursing Home for several years before retiring in 1984.
Aline was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the Ladies of Saint Anne Society of Gardner. Aline took immense pride in caring for her home and family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting, and embroidering. She also loved to speak in her native French language and enjoyed writing letters to friends and family in Canada. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her time spent with family.
She leaves behind three daughters Rosella Peters and her husband Richard of Fitchburg, Gloria Erickson and her husband Peter of Gardner, and Diane Beebe of Agawam; three sons Alan Cormier of Gardner, Rheal Cormier and his wife Michele of Gardner, and John Cormier and his husband James Bonanno of Boston; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother Aurele Cormier of Port Richey, FL; a son-in-law Robert Primmer; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Theodule Cormier who died in 2011; a daughter Jeannette Primmer who died in 2019; a daughter-in-law Helen Cormier; a great grandson K. Michael King; two sisters Geneva LeBlanc and Edith Cormier and a brother Edmond Cormier.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at Alliance Health in Baldwinville and Beacon Hospice for the tender care and support given to their mother over the past several months.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc. 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. A burial will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, following the Mass.
A calling hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019, in the funeral home.
