Aline M. (Gallant) Caissie, 76, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, April 4th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Gardner, Gardner , following a long illness.
Born in Rogersville, N.B. Canada on September 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Augustin and Zelica (Johnson) Gallant.
Prior to retiring in 1995, Aline was employed by Simplex Time Recorder, Gardner as an inspector, for 26 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
Aline enjoyed crocheting, knitting and watching television game shows. In her earlier years, she played and coached ice hockey. Aline loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Paul J. Caissie, who died in 2000.
Aline leaves one son, Daniel J. Caissie of Gardner; three daughters, Huguette P. Treshinsky and her husband David of Ashburnham, Jacqueline M. Erickson of Gardner, and Monique M. Pratt and her husband Robin of Gardner; six brothers, Yvonn Gallant and his wife Antoinette of Rogersville, NB Canada, Roger Gallant and his wife Albertine of Gardner, Emile Gallant and his wife Bernice of Richibucto, NB Canada, Reginald Gallant and his wife Doreen of Gardner, Laurie Gallant and his wife Kathy of Gardner, and Arthur Gallant and his wife Charlene of Gardner; four sisters, Rita LeBlanc of Richibucto, NB Canada, Therese Gallant of Richibucto, NB Canada, Lorraine Belliveau of Toronto, Canada and Jeanne Comeau and her husband Roland of Toronto, Canada; two daughters-in-law, Louise Caissie of Gardner and Anne Marie Caissie of Jaffrey, NH; two sisters-in-law, Lodiane Gallant and Stella Gallant both of Rogersville, NB Canada; nine grandchildren, Daniel Caissie, Christopher Caissie, Becky Treshinsky, Brad Treshinsky, Cassie Erickson, Ashley Pratt, Dominique Caissie, Nichole Pratt and Joelle Caissie; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Treshinsky and Pheonix Fortier; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Gilles J. Caissie who died March 31, 1999; and by two brothers, Alphonse and Ernest Gallant.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday, April 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
