Alice M. (Boudreau) Richard, 92, of 17A Knowlton Street, Gardner died peacefully, Sunday, September 19th in Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville surrounded by her family, following an illness.
Alice was born in Shediac, N.B. Canada on February 1, 1918, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Felicite (LeBlanc) Boudreau.
Prior to retiring in 1979, Alice was a clerical worker in the offices of Simplex Time Recorder Company of Gardner for several years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. She was also a member of the Gardner Golden Agers and the Chair City Pipers of Gardner.
Alice enjoyed cooking, word puzzles, traveling, line dancing and watching the television game show "Wheel of Fortune". She was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching the Boston teams. Alice was an excellent housekeeper.
Alice was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Edgar J. Richard, who died May 5, 2006.
She leaves two daughters, Linda M. Stone and her husband Roland of Gardner and Brenda M. Lehtinen and her husband Wayne of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Rene J. Boudreau and his wife Marie of Fitchburg; one sister, Emma Summers of Fitchburg; one sister in law, Rita Boudreau of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Kenneth Stone of Gardner, Sharon Como of Warren, MA, Kristin Intemann of Charlotte, NC, Duane Lehtinen of Cary, NC; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Como of Warren, MA, Lauren Como of Warren, MA, Madison Intemann of Charlotte, NC, Brady Intemann of Charlotte, NC and Sarah Lehtinen of Cary, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marsha L. Lison; four brothers, Yvon J., Leo R. Alcide J. and Roland J. Boudreau; and by one sister, Viola Ambrose of Fitchburg.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 23rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, September 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
