Alice R. Rahaim

Alice R. (LaFlamme) Rahaim, 99, of Templeton, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, February 3, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Worcester on February 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Angers) LaFlamme. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School with the Class 0f 1940, where she received an education to be a seamstress. She was formerly employed by JC McGinnis Department Store in the alteration department. She met and married her late husband, Robert J. Rahaim, after he returned from serving in World War II. Together they moved to Westminster to raise their family of five children. After moving to Westminster, Alice was employed by the Rahaim Furniture Co., where she learned to make custom furniture slipcovers and became very well known for her custom furniture slipcovers for over 40-years. Upon Robert’s retirement, the couple moved to GarWest in Gardner, where he passed away in 1995. While at GarWest, she met many wonderful people.

Most precious to Alice was her family, cherishing all the times she could celebrate with them. She enjoyed life and loved to make others laugh.

Alice is survived by her three sons, Michael J. Rahaim and his wife Debra of Westminster, Donald E. Rahaim and his wife Linda of Templeton and William R. Rahaim of Westminster; a daughter Lorraine A. Stewart and her husband Daniel of Templeton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda J. Rahaim, who died in 2016.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ellis Road, Westminster, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
