Alice M. LeBlanc

Alice M. (Danielson) LeBlanc, 83, of 104 Church Street, Gardner, died Thursday, August, 28th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following a short illness.

Born in Gardner on December 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maria (Dupre) Danielson.

Alice was a sander employed by Heywood Wakefield Co. of Gardner for three years, retiring in 1969. She later was employed at the Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster for three years.

Alice was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Gardner. She was a member of St. Therese of the Little Flower Society, a member of the prayer line group and a volunteer at the Head Start Program in Gardner.

Alice was a devout Catholic who enjoyed praying the Rosary. She enjoyed television game shows, comedy shows and watching the Rose Bowl Parade. Alice liked to cook and travel, making several trips to California and the San Francisco area. She especially loved time spent with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She leaves her husband of 62 years, John D. LeBlanc of Gardner; three sons, John D. LeBlanc Jr. and his wife Mary of Templeton, Roland L. LeBlanc and his wife Edith of Westminster, and Gerard R. LeBlanc and his wife Debra of Gardner; two daughters, Joann M. Williams and her husband Richard of Gardner and Geralyn M. LeBlanc of Bay Point, CA; one sister-in-law, Irene Danielson of Cotati, CA; eight grandchildren, Corey LeBlanc, Carrie Koziol, Therese Packard, John E. LeBlanc, Melissa Williams, Gregory Williams, Jill LeBlanc and Amy LeBlanc; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Leo P. Danielson of Cotati, CA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Road, Winchendon.

There are no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Association, 12 Glenway Avenue, Peabody, MA 01960 or to Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 166 Cross Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
