Alice T. Cormier

Alice T. (Wojdak) Cormier, 87, of 32 Hospital Hill Rd., Gardner and formerly of 83 Osgood St., Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, September 2nd in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner surrounded by her family.
Born on February 17, 1919, she was the daughter of Alexander and Julia (Kaczor) Wojdak.
She was a woodworker employed by Heywood-Wakefield Co. of Gardner for several years until retiring in 1974.
She was a 1938 graduate of Gardner High School.
Mrs. Cormier was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member of the Polish Women's Club and Holy Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed rug braiding, sewing, polka music, and especially loved her dog "Bandy". Alice recited her 'Rosary' faithfully.
Her husband of 59 years, Arthur Cormier, died in 2001.
She leaves 3 daughters, Susan F. Fournier and husband Robert of Plymouth, Elaine A. LaDeau and husband Ronald, Nancy M. Anderson and husband William all of Gardner; 5 grandchildren, Lindsay Ghizzoni, Kristen Magner, Tracey King, Grace and Sarah Anderson; 3 great-grandchildren, Meredith and Christian Ghizzoni, Matthew King; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Gary A. Cormier of Gardner, 2 brothers, Michael Wojdak of Templeton, Stanley Wojdak of Gardner and 1 sister, Jennie Zoldak of North Carolina.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial of cremains will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
