Alfred D. "Bear" LeBlanc, 59, of Gardner, died peacefully in his sleep, Monday, August 31, 2015 in his residence.
Born in Gardner on July 13, 1956, he was the son of the late Raymond A. and Marie A. (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Alfred was a truck driver employed by Curtis Lumber of Hubbardston for many years, prior to retiring recently. He was previously employed by Covenant Transport of Chattanooga, TN.
He was a member of Mission Street Congregational Church of Gardner.
Alfred loved spending time with his family and he adored children. He also took great pleasure in motorcycling and playing cards.
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Penny L. (Culver) LeBlanc of Gardner; one brother, Albert Leblanc of Gardner; three sisters, Ann M. Leblanc and her husband Paul of Gardner, Luann Cross and her significant other, Jim of Gardner, Joan Padula and her husband David of Baldwinville; one sister-in-law, Patricia Culver and her husband Joe of Templeton; three aunts, Loretta Arsenault of Cocagne, N.B. Canada, Claire Perry of Gardner and Theresa LeBlanc of Gardner; one uncle, Ronald Cormier of Montreal, Canada; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Baker who died in 2003 and by his sister-in-law, Linda LeBlanc who died in 2015.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. in Mission Street Congregational Church, 15 Mission Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
