Alfhild F. "Alva" Johnson

Alfhild E. "Alva" (Blahd) Johnson, 95, of 51 Hospital Rd., Baldwinville, and formerly of 159B Blanchard St., Gardner and Wilkinson Street, Worcester, died Monday, August 8th in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, following an illness.
She was born on September 3, 1909 in Degefurs, Sweden.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Gardner and was previously a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Worcester.
Mrs. Johnson loved her family and enjoyed knitting.
Her husband of 48 years, John E. Johnson, died in 1977.
She leaves 1 son, Steven E. Johnson of Westminster, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Stanley H. Johnson of Southbridge who died in 2001 and by several brothers and sisters.
All funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Gardner, 209 Lawrence St., Gardner, MA 01440 or to the Baldwinville Nursing Home Activity Fund, 51 Hospital Rd., Baldwinville, MA 01436.
