Alda M. Robichaud of Gardner, MA entered eternal life on July 11, 2015. Alda was born and raised in Gardner, the daughter of John and Bessie (Wondzell) Waitiekus. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1946 and married Raymond "Pete" Robichaud on June 23, 1951.
Alda leaves one daughter, Helen Robichaud of Wellesley, three sons - Raymond Robichaud and his wife, Melissa, of Peachtree City, Georgia, Robert Robichaud and his wife, Ellen Franconi, of Boulder, Colorado and Peter Robichaud and his wife, Martha Lovett, of Moscow, Idaho, as well as five grandchildren - Patrick, Ryan, Parker, Mia and Cooper. She was predeceased by her husband, Pete, her brother, John Waitiekus, and her sister, Helen Ingram.
Alda enriched the lives of many people, not only of her family, but also her extended family and community through her generosity of spirit, boundless energy for helping others, and caring and compassionate nature. She was deeply involved with the church, serving the Sacred Heart CCD Program for seven years as principal and teacher, making vestments for the church and repairing clothes for charity. Alda also became a Eucharistic Minister and provided communion to people in nursing homes for many years. She made a lasting impression on everyone she knew.
Calling hours will be held from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Boucher Funeral Home, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery in Gardner.
