Alberta J"Bert" Zifcak

Alberta J. "Bert" (Gauthier) Zifcak, 84, of 201 South Main Street, Templeton, died peacefully Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the Golden Living Center of Fitchburg following an illness.
Born in Baldwinville on January 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Marie (Sentabar) Gauthier.
Alberta attended the former Templeton High School, and graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner in 1981 as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She was employed by the GVNA of Gardner as an LPN, Home Health Aide for several years, retiring in 1996. Alberta was previously employed by Simplex Time Recorder Co. of Gardner and Heywood Hospital of Gardner.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church of E. Templeton.
Alberta loved playing Bingo and watching game shows on television-especially 'Family Feud'. She loved traveling and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Foxwoods and going on cruises. She was a woman of strong faith who attended Mass regularly and loved all animals, especially her dog 'Tobey'.
Alberta leaves her husband of 52 years, Edward F. Zifcak, of Templeton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, David and Francis Gauthier; and two sisters, Marion Richards and Jeannette Olivari.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 23rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Avenue, E. Templeton. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, February 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
