Albert P. Landry, 82 of 455 Parker Street, Gardner died Monday, January 21st in UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester.
Born in Gardner on October 8, 1925, he was the son of the late Theodore and Melisse (Melanson) Landry.
Albert was a machinist employed by General Electric Co. of Fitchburg for 20 years until retiring in 1987.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner, the Gardner Chapter of A.A.R.P., the Gardner Golden Agers and a member of "Silver Sneakers".
Albert was a United States WWII Navy Veteran and received the Victory Medal, the American Theatre Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Medal.
Albert enjoyed taking long walks with his wife, archery and camping with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ann Marie Claire Landry who died March 6, 2006.
He leaves one son, Alan M. Landry of Baldwinville; one daughter, Pamela (Penny) Ann Pelletier of Pepperell; one brother, Jean M. Landry of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Pauline M. Landry of Gardner; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five brothers, Edward Landry, Herve Landry, Raymond Landry, Lionel (Pete) Landry and Alfred Landry; and by one sister, Lorraine Greenleaf.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Thursday, January 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.
