Albert J. "Al" Henrie, 73, of 47 Pelley Street, Gardner died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, December 2, 2012 in his residence, following complications from diabetes.
Born in St. Paul N.B. Canada on December 18, 1938 he was the son of the late Donat and Marie (Leger) Henrie.
Albert owned and operated his siding and roofing company for more than half of his lifetime when he retired.
He was a member of St. Martins Church in Otter River. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 747 of Gardner, the Trout Club, the Beagle Club and the Deep Sea Club.
Albert enjoyed fishing, watching game shows on television and spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Anna M. (Gaudet) of Gardner; two sons, Bermon Henrie of Gardner and his significant other Lisa, and Jean-Claude Henrie and his wife Robin of Ashburnham; one daughter, Lisa Blais and her husband Tom of Lyndeborough, NH; three brothers, Marcel Henrie and his wife Jeannine of St Paul, N.B. Canada, Donald Henrie of Middletown, CT and Valmond Henrie and his wife Edna of Waltham; three sisters, Annette Babineau and her husband Noe of Bouctouche, N.B. Canada, Emelia Allain and her husband Gerald of Waltham and Georgia Allain and her husband Gerald of St. Marie, Canada; six grandchildren, Samantha, Lorrie and Emma Blais, Jace and Cameron Henrie and Kourtney Kacian; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rachel M. Kacian who died in 2006; four brothers, Paul, Gerald, Jean-Eudes and his twin brother Alfred Henrie; and by two sisters, Janice Henrie and Lucille Cormier.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 15th at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner.
