Albert J."Al" Bibeau

Albert J. "Al" Bibeau, Jr., 74, of 52 Racette Avenue, Gardner died suddenly December 7th in Florida Hospital Celebration Health, Celebration, Florida, while on vacation in Florida with his wife.

Born in Gardner on December 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Claire E. (Cabana) Bibeau.

Al was a Trade Association Director employed by Wood Products Manufacturing Association for 25 years, retiring in 2006. He was previously employed by George B. Bent Co., Inc., Gardner, for 20 years.

Mr. Bibeau was a 1951 graduate of Gardner High School, Gardner. He received an Associates Degree in Business from Worcester Junior College, Worcester, in 1953.

Al was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 396 of Gardner.

Mr. Bibeau was a United States Army Veteran, and received the Good Conduct Medal.

Al enjoyed fishing, spending time on Martha's Vineyard in the Spring and Fall, gardening and watching sports channels. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He leaves his wife of 52 years, Rose A. (Krasowski) Bibeau of Gardner; four sons, Philip A. Bibeau and his wife Lori of Jaffrey, NH, Steven J. Bibeau of Winchendon, Allen F. Bibeau and his wife Deborah of Winchendon and David L. Bibeau and his wife Leah of Salem, OR; one daughter, Karen M. Besch and her husband Mark of Wesley Chapel, FL; two sisters, Diane Dover and her husband John of Burnsville, NC, Jane Grove and her husband S. David of Crescent City, FL and Lynn Emerson and her husband Anthony of South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Jane Bibeau of Sumter, SC; six grandchildren, Amanda and Ryan Besch, Megan, Trevor, Garrett and Collin Bibeau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Robert Bibeau.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, December 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
