Alan P. Borey, 55, of 96A Clem Court, S. Barre, MA and formerly of Gardner, died Sunday, September 7th in Baystate Mary Lane Hospital , Ware, after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Gardner on June 27, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert and Lucille (Ares) Borey.
At the time of his death, Alan was a blender employed by Modern Dispersion Industries of Leominster for 22 years.
Alan attended Gardner High School, Gardner.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. He was also a member of the Templeton Fish and Game, Templeton, the Acadien Social Club, Gardner and a social member of the Knights of Columbus, Gardner.
Alan enjoyed golfing, dancing, bowling, horseshoes and playing softball.
He leaves two sons, Coy Murzycki of Leicester, MA and Nicholas A. Borey of Templeton; one daughter, Nicole L. Borey of Templeton; one brother, Michael Borey and his wife Cheryl of Gardner; one sister, Kathleen A. Williams and her husband Harrison of Gardner; three grandchildren, Andrew, Michael and Matthew Murzycki of Leicester; one aunt, Eva Ares of Gardner; one niece, Raven Borey; two nephews, Aaron and Heath Borey. He also leaves his fiancé, Jo-Anne Valis of S. Barre. Alan was predeceased by one brother, Bruce Borey.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10th at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Rev. Andre Dargis of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, September 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
