Agnes L Starzynski

Agnes L. (Koski) Starzynski, 94, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, December 24, 2017 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner, surrounded by her family.
Born in Gardner on April 3, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Matti and Caroline (Hautala) Koski. She grew up in South Gardner and loved to skate on Wright's Pond while her Dad ice fished.
Agnes graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1941, and spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family.
She enjoyed walking, traveling, shopping and dining out. Agnes also enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing bingo and cards, and entertaining her bridge partners. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers.
She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Zigmont J. Starzynski, who died in 1985.
Agnes leaves three sons, Bruce "Bruno" A. Starzynski of Gardner, Victor J. Starzynski and his wife Vera of Windsor, NH and Gary A. Starzynski and his husband Mark M. Nordberg of Litchfield, Maine; one daughter, Marcia A. Szulborski and her husband Joseph K. Szulborski, Jr. of Gardner; six grandchildren, Coralee Truax and her significant other Shawn Mellit, Joseph Szulborski, III, Christopher Starzynski, Laurie Gateman, Lisa Monahan and her husband Joseph, and Amy Starzynski and her husband Jim; six great-grandchildren, Brandon and Madison Truax, Nicholas, Mary, Lucy and James Monahan; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Hunter and Barbara Starzynski; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Arthur Koski; and by two sisters, Aileen Edman and Sylvia Fielden.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 30th at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 30th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
