Adeline "Dolly" (Vinstra) Benner, 85, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, died peacefully, Thursday, February 25th in the Legend's Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner.
Born in Leicester, MA on March 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Vinstra and Myrtle (Woodger) Vinstra.
Adeline was a factory worker employed by Felters Company of Millbury, MA for 5 years, retiring in 1974. She was previously a waitress and bartender at various local establishments.
Adeline's enjoyed playing Yahtzee and absolutely loved playing Bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Eugene A. Benner, who died in 2009.
Adeline leaves two sons, Frank J. Brooks of Daytona Beach, FL and Bruce F. Brooks and his wife Rose of Worcester; one daughter, Rose A. Lawless and her husband Robert of N. Oxford; several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves a dear friend, Rosemary Baker of Worcester.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Garner. MA. Burial will be in the MA National Veterans Cemetery, Bourne, MA at a later date.
A calling time will be held Friday, March 5th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
