Ronald Pelletier

Ronald “Ron” Pelletier, 69, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, January 22, 2021, in Wachusett Manor, Gardner, after a period of declining health.

Born in Gardner, on April 13, 1951, he was the son of the late Henry X. and Loretta (Girouard) Pelletier. Ron graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1969. He was a supervisor at the Templeton Developmental Center (Fernald School). He was previously employed by the Gardner State Hospital and Rutland Heights Hospital.

Ron was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, where he was a staple at the annual Church Bazaar selling tickets. He was a member of the League of Sacred Heart, the Acadien Social Club of Gardner, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #747. He loved taking Foxwoods Casino trips, and his time with his friends at McDonald’s every morning with coffee. But the time he cherished the most was the time spent with his family.

He leaves one brother, Raymond Pelletier and his wife Helen of Florida; three sisters Marie Louise Chartrand of Gardner, Sister Lorraine Pelletier of the Presentation of Mary Order of Marlboro, and Anita DiRusso of Leominster; one nephew Michael Pelletier and his wife Holly of Texas; one niece Laura DiRusso of Leominster; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Ron was predeceased by a nephew Anthony DiRusso.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021, with a Mass at 11:15 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, 01440. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

A calling hour will be private.

Masks and Social Distancing will be required.
